ABOUT
POLAR is the duo project of Adrian Schäublin (Fender Rhodes piano, electronics) and Felix Handschin (drums, electronics).
The duo is creating soundscapes reminiscent of clear northern skies as well as of warm and comfortable spaces.
From ambient-like atmospheres to vibrant rhythmic pulsation, a wide range of sonic structures is developed in compositions and improvisations.
Based on their broad musical experience – not only from jazz but also from other stiles – Felix Handschin and Adrian Schäublin produce a variety of compositions, partially based on and extended by electronic loops and sequences.
The first cd has been released in the spring of 2013, the second at the end of 2021.
